Rollo-Mixer® Test Center

At our Continental Rollo-Mixer® Test Center, many products we use every day are test blended or coated before being scaled up to production and commercially sold. It all starts with receiving product samples, determining the density of the material and developing the design of the experiment. From there, we work directly with prospects and customers from over 20 industries looking to perfect uniformity and consistency in their formulas for optimizing overall product performance. Many leading products from the industries we serve were started right here in our test Rollo-Mixers. The Test Center also serves as an R&D feedback center for us as we can customize solutions that will later be applied to our customers’ production Rollo-Mixers.

Determine Bulk Density

To Determine Bulk Density in lbs. per cubic ft.:

  1. Measure 1 cup of material
  2. Get weight in Grams
  3. Multiply x 0.2643 4. = lbs. per cubic ft.

Visit Our Facility and Test Your Products

Continental’s product testing facility has accommodated more than 2,000 blending and coating trials over many decades. Our test facility is equipped with a variety of Rollo-Mixer® test models, liquid spray systems and heating and cooling capabilities. Companies that visit us can test their products utilize utilize one of 6 versions of the Rollo-Mixer®. Visibility is a key factor in helping us learn how products behave and adapting our coating technology to suit the application. Continental is able to share their years of experience testing a wide variety of products, helping accelerate the transfer from development to production. Scale up is 1:1 from pilot to production.
